Layered Chia Pudding Recipe
Makes 4 - ¼ cup servings
A layered Chia Pudding is a great bed time snack. This easy to make ahead & easy to eat bedtime snack is great after some post-supper outdoor play & before bed. It’s loaded with fibre (filling!) and plant based omega 3 fats (more filling!!!), this can help kids sleep longer A clear jar makes the layers look so appetizing.

Chia Pudding
¼ c chia seeds
1 cup milk (cow or soy)
½ tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp maple syrup
-mix 1/4 cup chia seeds into 1 cup of milk
-stir in 1 tsp vanilla and 2 tsp maple syrup, refrigerate overnight
-this part you can make ahead and keep on hand
Homemade Berry Sauce
1 ½ cups fresh or frozen berries
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp lemon juice
-boil 1.5 cup of fresh/frozen berries with 1 tbsp chia, 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp lemon juice until thick
Put it together:
-slice or dice canned/frozen peaches depending on your eater's skill level
-layer berries, then chia pudding, then peaches, then chia and berries on the top
-if you don't have time for the berries or the peaches, the chia pudding tastes good and has all the benefits on it's own
